Summary of Hire Conditions

PRICES
  • are in NZ$
  • include GST (12.5% sales tax)
  • include unlimited kilometres
  • include comprehensive insurance

PAYMENTS
  • Visa or Mastercard details required to make reservation
  • Visa or Mastercard details required as bond during term of hire
  • Payment required at start of hire by cash or credit card
  • Payment for extra rental at start of extra rental period

INSURANCE
  • full comprehensive insurance
  • excess liability of NZ$1500
  • No excess on windscreen damage
  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) reduces excess liability to zero
  • CDW costs NZ$12 per day

DURATION
  • 1 day = 24 hours from time of hire
  • Extra days can be arranged by telephone
  • Cancellations up to 5 days before start of hire
  • Late cancellations incur a fee of NZ$50
  • There are no refunds for early returns

DRIVERS
  • No extra fee for extra drivers
  • All drivers must be 21 years or over
  • All drivers must have a valid drivers licence
  • International Drivers Permit required if licence not in English
  • Only drivers listed on the rental agreement may drive the car

LIABILITY
  • Hirer is liable for fines and fees incurred during rental period
  • Insurance excess of NZ$1500 unless CDW is purchased
  • Cleaning charges if car needs extraordinary cleaning after return
  • Late fees if car is not returned on time
  • Costs if car is used contrary to contract conditions
